Residence Application {S00010-3}

The student will be able to process his/her Residence Application via the web system.

1. System Cycles {SMNT-2}/{SRESIDE-1}

• Cycle ‘O’ must be open in order to process a residence application

2. Validations {SMNT-1}

• AH  - Residence Application on Academic Application – Subsystem Application

                    The system will not allow the Residence Application if the student does not have an Academic Application for the same Year and 

                    Block code.

3. Process Event Codes {STWEBM-7}

• B2 – Residence Application Certificate Indicator - A Certificate code as defined in {SCODE-22}, must be linked to Event Code ‘B2’.  A record will be inserted in {SREGB-8} with an indicator seen set to ‘NO’.
• RA - Number of Residence Applications Allowed - If this SOD is 1(one) allow only 1(one) Residence Application.
• RB - Number of Residence Applications Allowed for Seniors - If this SOD is 1(one) show where student was last year with no choice of any other residence in the LOV. If no values in LOV, check some Residence exist with Residence Change Indicator = Y on {SMNT-19} because student may change to Post Grad Res.
• B1 - Residence Application Rules and Regulations First Years
• B2 - Residence Application Certificate Indicator First Years
• S6 - Residence Application Rules and Regulations Seniors
• S7 - Residence Application Certificate Indicator Seniors
• O6 - Residence Application Rules and Regulations Others
• O7 - Residence Registration Certificate Indicator Others
• WR - Web Residence Room Type Default - The default room is a single room if there is no room defined

4. System Operational Definitions {SMNT-12}

• 'SA', 'RR', 'Senior Residence Appl. Admit Status' ‘Enter the admission status for the Student Residence Type = "S"’
• 'JA', 'RR', 'Other Residence Appl. Admit Status' ‘Enter the Residence admission status for the Student Residence Type = "O"
  
• 'FA', 'RR', 'First Yr Residence Appl. Admit Status' ‘Enter the Residence admission status for the Student Residence Type = "F"
• 'FC', 'RR', 'Use Formal Time of First Qual Enrolled iso Last Qual to Determine Time Left in a Residence'  'Enter 'Y' or 'N' to determine which qualification formal time is to be used to indicate time left in a residence'
• 'S6', 'RR', 'Stop Residence Appl/Reg. if Academic Reg. exceeds limit' 'Enter 'Y' or 'N' to validate total number of academic registrations of a student to apply for residence.'
• 'AQ', 'RR', 'iEnable Residence Applications. When the SOD is set to 'Y' the residence will not show in the building LOV if the number of applications for the residence has already reached the quota as defined on {SRESIDE-3}. '

5. Text Translation and Customization {GOPS-8}

• 'MSG_06600' - Application prohibited, you have reached the maximum number of applications allowed
• 'MSG_06601' - Application prohibited, you have reached the maximum number of applications allowed (seniors)
• 'MSG_06602' - Application for residence requires an academic application
• 'MSG_06603' - No Residence Applications are currently allowed
• 'NTE_06603' - Confirm your acceptance of the residence rules and regulations and submit your application by clicking the 'Proceed With Application' button

6. Residence Quotas {SRESIDE-3}

• Check the quotas as setup per building and student residence type when a student is admitted to a building.

7. Residence Registration Rules {SMNT-19}/{SRESIDE-2}

• Use the rules to display the building in the LOV(List of values).
