Reason Codes {SCODE-33}


Reason codes are used to categorise changes that are made to student related details.


The programs where each of the categories of reasons are used, are listed in the table below.

Block 1: Reason Codes

Length		 Description
Code A1 A unique user-defined code to identify the reason for change.
Description A30 The reason description.
Indicator A1 The reason code will be linked to a specific Indicator and the following values are allowed:
  • A(C)tivity – If the Activity change on {SDSERI-1} / {SDSERI-4};
  • (P)ersonnel – If the Personnel number change on {SDSERI-1} / {SDSERI-4};
  • (S)ervice Centre – If the Service Centre Change on {SDSERI-1} / {SDSERI-4};
  • (A)pplication Validation Override –  Changing an unsuccessful (N) validation to successful (Y).  This option is also reached from {SNAPPA-3} Tab:  Academic Admission, Page 2, button 'Display Validation Results'.
  • (T)utor Charges - used in {SDSERI-1}/{SNAPPA-9}/{SSTUD1-6}
  • Status (O)verrides - used in option {SREGL-6} and {STGRDOP-8}
