Shared Applications - Notes

This option is used as a control screen to access notes. It may be called from any application provided the application from which the notes are called, is linked.

Before it can be used, the Note Code Structure must be defined in the following progams:

Maintain Note Categories on {GCS2-8}
Maintain Communication Methods on {GCS2-9}
Maintain Note Types on {GCS-10}
Define Note Codes and Reference Fields on {GCS2-15}
Link Note Codes to Form and Blocks on {GCS2-14}

User Restrictions to restrict users to specified note categories are available refer to the Notes Operational Manual for more detail.

Note that the Tab-headings for each tab in this block depends on the Note Category set-up applicable to the screen from which the program is opened.

Fields in the option:

Block 1:

Field	Type & Length	Description
Reference Fields	N9	(Student Number in the example below)
Query All	Button
Add Note	Button	This Button wil open the Maintain Notes Screen in input mode.
Amend Note	Button	This Button wil open the Maintain Notes Screen with the particular note selected in update mode.
Delete Note	Button	This Button will delete the note that the user is on and write to the logfile {GMNT-1}
Reminder	Button	This Button wil open the Note Reminders Screen with the particular note selected in update mode.
Note Number	N11
Date	DD-MON-YYYY	The date on which the note was created.
Action Date	DD-MON-YYYY
Note Type	A8	The Note Type {GCS2-10} of the particular note
Note Type Description	A30	The description of the Note Type.
Recorded by	A8	The user that created the note.
