Override of Student Statuses

This program may be used to view and override Student Statuses {SREGL-2} and it is may be called from the following programs :

• Student Entry Point {SMAIN-27}
• Academic Application {SNAPPA-1}
• Details of Registration/ Results of a Student {SSTUDY-21}
• View Student Subject Enrolments {SSTUDY-31}

The override of the status will be for the duration of all the user sessions by making use of a background table although the override information will be kept on the Log of all Student Overrides. If a user has more than one session open, the override done in one session will be active in the other session. Overriding of status will be by entering an appropriate reason code or choose from a list of values and replace the code description or additional text.

Rules regarding the display of student statuses:

Statuses are linked to the student on either {FSAO-12}, {FBLO-14}, {SREGL-2} and {STWEBM-9}.

Indication if a student has statuses linked:

• If a student is linked to a status that do not needs to be acknowledged a 'blue icon' will be displayed next to the Student's name.
• If a student is linked to at least one or more statuses that needs to be acknowledged a 'yellow triangle' will be displayed next to the Student's name.  These statuses needs to be acknowledged before the students can exit.

When validation AV / SM {SMNT-1} is set to 'Y':

• all the status codes from different systems that has been linked to a student will be displayed.

• only the status codes linked to the relevant program in {SCODE1-2} will be displayed.

1. The following User Restrictions {SMNT-5} may be used to manage privileges of student status flags:
   
• Restriction Type = 'SSFA' - Creation of student status
• Users not linked can create any status
• Restriction Type = 'SSFC' - Close student status
• Users not linked can close any status
• Restriction Type = 'SSFO' - Overriding student status
• Users can only override Statuses to which they are linked.
