Overview of the Personnel iEnabler System

• The Web Leave System, designed to streamline the whole process of leave administration from applying for leave, approving / rejecting leave applied for, to selling and the recording of leave by the HR department.
• Personal Maintenance. (A facility to allow personnel members to maintain their personal details). It includes
  
• a facility to maintain a self-evaluation as part of a performance evaluation process.
• a facility to have personnel members review and confirm the correctness of limited personal details, used for Stats reporting. (For example yearly time-sheet information)
• iEnabler Appointments. (A facility to allow departments other that the Human Resources Section to appoint part-time - and fixed term contract personnel members).
• Supervisors Area (Facilities that allows personnel members with supervisory functions to view details of the personnel directly reporting to them and to view and maintain Key Performance Areas, Tasks and Skills/Competencies of posts in their establishment)
• Performance Evaluation facilities are available that allows 
• A supervisor to include Key Performance Areas, Tasks and Skills/Competencies of posts in the evaluation sets of personnel members. (Refer to Supervisors Area)
• A personnel member to complete a self-evaluation. (Refer to Personal Maintenance)
• A supervisor to view self-evaluations of personnel members and to complete evaluations of personnel members. (Refer to Supervisors Area)
• Claims. (Functionality to handle Salary Claims against Secondary Appointment Contracts)
• Overtime Work. (Functionality to handle Overtime Work Agreements and the resulting Salary Claims)
• Probation (Functionality to allow personnel members and supervisors to complete sections of Probation Assessments assigned to then).
• eRecruitment (Functionality to allow people to apply on line for Advertised Posts).
• Job Profiles (Functionality to allow for the approval of Job Profiles for Post and Grade and also Job Profiles per Person).
• Staff Booking System (Functionality to allow personnel to book on line for internal and external courses)
• Performance Management (Functionality for staff members to submit and line managers to review Performance Agreements and Performance Assessments on the iEnabler

• Overview of Personal Confidential Detail Functionality that will allow staff members to access (view/print ) Confidential information i.e.:

• Letters (i.e. proof of employment, increase letters etc.)
•  Payslips
• Tax Certificates (South African clients only)
• TGP (Total Guaranteed Packages) conversions & structuring and approval

• The ITS Integrator systems are designed to eliminate the entering of duplicate information in different systems: this results in the systems being in­te­grated with and inter-dependent upon one another
• The Personnel iEnabler system is fully dependent on the Personnel System being implemented. In addition, the ITS Routing System is used to manage the routing/workflow associated the Personnel iEnabler.
• The Personnel iEnabler system is used by personnel members, defined in the Personnel System. These could be personnel who are employed on a full-time basis by the institution, or personnel who are employed on a part-time basis or fixed term contract. The personnel number and a Personal Identification Number (PIN) is needed to log in. Upon implementation, peen's for Personnel Members can be handled in one of the following ways
• The Standard Login Screen has a "Request a PIN" - button that will generate a PIN for the User and send an Email message to the User's Email address with the details.
• A program to Maintain Personnel iEnabler PIN {PWEBM-7} is available where the System Administration can assign PIN's on an individual basis to Personnel Members.
• In particular, notice that the indication of each personnel member's supervisor and the Email address of each personnel member is critical for the ITS Routing System to send Email notifications and assign responsibility for actions.
