Overview of the Appointments Code Structure {PAM-2}
Mandatory Code Structures
- Certain code structures must be in place before any records
can
be entered in the appointment system. These code structures form the
base of the appointment system and it is critical to create the correct
code structures. This Sub-system is used to create and maintain these
code structures. The following code structures must be inplace before
the appointment system can be used.
- Appointment Types {PACS-1}
- Ranks {PACS-2}
- Leave Packages {PLCS-1}
- Occupation Categories {PACS1-1}
- Post Types {PACS-6}
- Posts {PACS-4}
It
is important to realize that the Personnel system does not
link people to departments
directly. Instead it is the post that is linked to the
department, the
connection between a person and a department is inferred through the
post that is occupied by the person.
Other Code
Structures
- Other code structures on the personnel appointment system
are also important for full implementaion, but these are not critical
to operating the basic functionality of the system as all
fields on the appointment
system are not
mandatory. Below is a list of the structures
