Overview of Claims against Secondary Appointment
Contracts {FPRI-27}
This functionality allows for the
handling of
salary claims where remuneration is "claims-based". 
  
Description of the functionality
  - Personnel members may be appointed against Secondary
Appointment Contracts {PAOP-2},
where each contract contains information used when claims are
processed.
  
    - The following types of Salary Claims are handled
      
      
      
      
      
        - Ad hoc amounts to be claimed by the Personnel Member,
up to a pre-determined maximum, entered on the Secondary Appointment
Contract.
- A "Rate times Quantity" type of claim where the Rate
is fixed and the personnel member may submit claims for ad hoc
quantities, up to a pre-determined maximum quantity entered on the
Secondary Appointment Contract.
- Fixed Monthly claims, where the personnel member is
paid a fixed monthly amount entered on the Secondary Appointment
Contract.. In this case, claims are not submitted as functionality
to automatically generate the claims exist
  
  
  - Claims are submitted through "Appointment Contract Claims {P00011-1}" and approval is
handled through "Approve Contract Claims {P00011-2}"
in the Personnel iEnabler {P00000-2}.
    - For the Personnel Member, the approval process may be
tracked through Contract Claims Approval Progress {P00011-3} 
- For the claims administrator, a list
of claims that have not yet been approved or rejected or
claims that have been approved but the claim cycle /Contract End Date
did not fall within Event Type 'H' dates {FPRM-2},
at the time of approval which resulted in the claim having a Status of
'Approved but not Finalised' can be viewed by generating 'Unapproved /
Approved but not Final' claim report {FPRIC-5}.
  - Alternatively, claims may be entered
through Maintain Claims {FPRIC-1}. 
        
  
  - Generate Fixed Claims {FPRIC-2}
may be used for generating Fixed Monthly Claims.
  
  - For processing through the Payroll System, claims are
copied into Individual Earnings / Deductions {FPRI-2} through "Copy Claims to
PRS {FPRIC-3}".
  
  - If there were errors in the process, Claims that were
copied may be removed from the Individual Earnings /
Deductions {FPRI-2} and the user may be allowed to change it with
Maintain Claims {FPRIC-1}. (Refer to Rollback Claims {FPRIC-4}.)
